And now for something completely different! Today we helped a local video production company take the ‘icing on the cake’ shot for their promotional video of Greville Primary School in Ashtead, Surrey.
We met Johanna from Johanna Fry Films on site this morning who explained the angles she was hoping to achieve with the drone – a relatively straight forward reveal of the entire pupil population standing in the playground in the shape of a giant stag’s head – the school’s logo. Once everyone was in position, we took several takes flying from just above head height up to about 100 feet to capture the stag’s head in its entirety.
Johanna and the staff at the school were delighted with the final shot, and we will update this post with a link to Johanna’s finished promotional video once it’s online.

Do you remember standing in front of your school squinting up in the air at a full-size helicopter, and being told to smile and wave by your teachers? With the advent of drone technology, the same imagery can now be taken for a fraction of the cost and in a fraction of the time. So whether it’s a school photograph taken with our drone or an elevated group photograph taken inside or out with our telescopic mast, drop us a line today and we’ll be delighted to talk through your requirements with you.
